Boylan's Natural Root Beer
How is it that root beer is so incredible when I'm not a fan of most of the ingredients? Anise? Licorice? No thanks! They taste like poison to me. You mix those in with some other ingredients and you have yourself one of the world's greatest drinks. Boylan's got their start making birch beer, but they have definitely transferred their magic into this root beer. It has the nice earthy flavor that is common in "fancier" root beers. It's somehow smooth and crisp at the same time. Just like a root beer should be.

Chadwick Bay Unfiltered Spiced Apple Cider
This is the same product as the Harborside Touchdown Cider that we reviewed a few weeks ago. This version of it has less obnoxious packaging. Here is an updated review of it:
When I opened it I instantly noticed the autumn like aroma. That got my hopes up. This is one great spiced cider. Just as the cinnamon feels like it's going to get too strong it fades away into sweet perfection. It reminds me of an uncarbonated Reeds Spiced Apple Brew.

Jones Organics Red Tea Peach
I'm kind of into these Jones Organics teas. They are pretty much just brewed tea with a whole bunch of cane sugar added to it, with some natural flavorings. I don't know if I've ever had red tea before, but it's pretty good. The flavor of the tea and cane sugar does fight with the peach flavor a little. You can tell that there is the flavor of an actual peach fighting to get through, but the sugar man is keeping it down. I'm definitely going to try the other flavors of this if I see them around.

Fizzy Lizzy Yakima Grape
Fizzy Lizzy you have done it again. Since there is no sugar added this is more of a sparkling juice than a soda. I have no problems with that. The bottle states 53% juice 47% fizzy water. That fizzy water tastes absolutely nothing like seltzer water, so that rules. It tastes exactly like someone carbonated some high-end grape juice. Incredible. I thought Yakima Grape was going to be some Japanese grape, but upon doing some research, I learned that they are concord grapes from Yakima, WA. I can't wait to dive into the other flavors of this that we got.

Odwalla Summertime Lime
I must tip my hat to the person/people who named this drink because it's very fitting. I wish I had tried this drink sooner because it would be perfect on a hot day. It's a very refreshing drink. I'm a big fan of limeade and have drunk some really awful ones in the past. This was not the case at all. Drinking this bottle was so pleasurable that I almost forgot to take notes as I was drinking it. This is one of the best limeades I have ever tasted.

Stewart's Fountain Classics Root Beer
I've had a real taste for root beers as of late. Why? I don't know. Why, what are you a shrink? Do I owe you money for even asking? Man, this review is beginning to cost me money. I'll make it quick. Stewart's. Some people crave it, but since it's readily available by me, I probably take it for granted. It's not the best, but it's not bad. It a pretty smooth drink. Not a lot of bite, like a birch beer would, but it's not birch beer so that comparison is worthless. You don't get a HFCS taste because the root beer flavor is pretty strong, and that's good. Towards the bottom it gets good because you can swish it around and get a little bit of head and that makes me think like I'm a tough 8 year old at a bar, slamming down a cold mug of real root beer. I don't know how I got into the bar and if the cops come in, someone's getting in trouble because I doubt that they are going to sample my drink. They're probably just going to start bashin' skulls. They'd better not bash mine because I'm only 8.

Aloevine Mango
Yesterday we received a package in the mail from Aloevine. I was one happy boy. I absolutely love all of their drinks I have tried. This mango one is no different. It still has the wonderful aloe chunks in it that I greatly enjoy. I don't know if I'm just imagining it, but it seems like there are less chunks in the smaller bottles than in the big ones. Either way it's great. It's fairly sweet with a nice mango flavor to it that actually resembles the fruit, even though it's artificial flavoring.
I've also been seeing these in more stores lately. I for one am glad for the expansion.

Waialua Soda Works Pineapple
I was expecting for more of a pineapple flavor with this soda. Sadly, it's a very mild flavor. It doesn't taste bad, and it's definitely sweet enough. If this had a stronger pineapple flavor I'm sure I would love this, but it tastes too bland for me.

Dad's Old Fashioned Root Beer
I'm sure I've had Dad's Root Beer before, but i couldn't remember how it was. For some reason I have always lumped Dad's together with A&W and Barq's, aka bland root beer. I must say that this is not the case. Dad's is really smooth to drink, with just the right heavy taste to it.
Every sip tastes like I'm sitting next to a stream, fishing with my Dad. I'm not sure if that's a subliminal message due to the name of the company, or just a memory I have drinking root beer with my dad while fishing, or maybe both, who knows.
All that aside, this is a good root beer. Not the best, but far from the worst.

College Club Pineapple
This is great, a pop that actually tastes like the fruit it's supposed to. It tastes like someone dumped a whole mess of sugar on a pineapple, and threw it in a blender. It actually reminds me of a Slurpee flavor. I was told that it tastes exactly like the old Sunkist pineapple pop that used to exist. I was also told it made my friend parachute little men. Strange times indeed!

Boylan's Birch Beer
It's got a bite, a really hard bite. And it feels good. Man, so good. Go to a root beer brewery and get birch beer and that is the only time you will get birch beer this good. This gets an undeniable 5 apples, cherries, starts, thumbs up, bottles, or whatever else your rating system goes up to. Boylan's, you do it right.

Oogave Root Beer
I'm always excited when I try something sweetened with something other than sugar. Oogave uses agave nectar to sweeten their sodas. While it's definitely preferred to HFCS, I wouldn't say it's better than cane sugar. This root beer was good, but not amazing. It had a very mild root beer flavor, one of the lightest root beer's I've ever had. So much so that it tasted like cola with a root beer after taste. I doubt I'll ever pick up this root beer again, but I'd like to try other sodas Oogave has to offer before I dismiss agave nectar in soda.

Empire Bottling Works Cola
Whenever I drink a cola made with cane sugar, I am transported to a world where HFCS doesn't exist and every soda tastes great. But then after the bottle is finished, I come back to reality. Empire makes a damn good bottle of cola. It's really smooth, and there are hints of cream in it as if they mixed in a little cream soda. It's full of flavor, but not overwhelming. I wish more colas tasted this good.

Jones Soda Blue Bubblegum
I love this soda because you get exactly what you're expecting. The drink is a great color of clear blue, and the bubblegum flavor is spot on. I've never had any other bubblegum flavored drink (are there any?), so it's impossible to compare this to others. This is one of my favorite flavors Jones makes. It's smooth, delicious, and I always want more after the bottle is empty.

World Classics Trading Company Sweetened Black Tea With Raspberry
A friend gave me this tea to review the other day. It's not bad. It reminds me a lot of Brisk Raspberry Tea. It's sweetened with high fructose corn syrup, so it's a bit thicker than I like my iced tea. It also doesn't taste much like actual raspberries, but it does have the fake raspberry flavor that people are used to. Not great, not terrible. It's just an okay iced tea.

Boylan's Orange
This is one hell of an orange soda. It's very crisp, and the orange flavor is from mandarin and tangerine oils. That means it actually tastes like some sort of fruit, and not the orange flavoring, that's in most orange soda. That stuff doesn't taste anything like an actual orange. I really wish I were out grilling in the sun while I was drinking this. As we all know orange soda is the official drink of BBQs.

Amazake Rice Shake Tiger Chai
Whenever I see a new vegan milkshake, I feel the need to try it. I have never had a milkshake made with rice milk before, but when I saw this was chai flavored I had to try it. Sadly, it doesn't have a strong chai taste to it. It mostly taste like almonds and nutmeg. The consistency is really good, not too thin and not too thick. While I'm not crazy about this flavor, it shows promise for the other flavors Amazake offers.

College Club Pale Dry Ginger Ale
My friend Mike said that this is the best ginger ale he's ever had. I'll lead off with this. There certainly is a lot of ginger in this lil' bottle. There are some ginger ales that are pretty sweet and some ginger ales that aren't. This is right in the middle. It actually takes you for a loop. You think that it's super sweet, but then you realize that it's all ginger, doing her job. It's sweet, but there might be more ginger than any other ginger ale I've ever had. If you believe that ginger ale will cure your aches and pains, this would be the one to be papa doctor.

Archer Farms Simply Balanced Pomegranate Yumberry
My girlfriend got this drink, got maybe 1/4 through it, and said she really didn't like it and offered it up to me. I was expecting it to be completely terrible. As it turns out it wasn't that bad. It's much better than the passion fruit mango one I had a while ago. It really doesn't taste like green tea at all to me though. I guess it's that "green tea powder" I mentioned in my last review. This one does actually taste like pomegranate though. So it's got that going for it. I think if Archer Farms started actually brewing the green tea instead of using the powder, they would have a pretty decent drink on their hands.

Westfield Maid 100% Grape Juice
About this time of year I can drive west on the I-90 and be overcome by the scent of the grape orchards that line the highway. It's seriously great. This beverage is made from those exact locally grown Concord grapes.
This is possibly the best grape juice that I've ever tasted. It's really smooth and doesn't have an overpowering tart sensation. I highly recommend checking this out if you're ever in the area.
It is also made by the same parent company that produces Chadwick Bay. A company I can definitely whose products I can definitely get behind. Also, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this product is donated to the Westfield Maid Cooperative of grape farmers.
