Goya Jamaican Style Ginger Beer
When we recently reviewed some ginger drinks and complained that the burn wasn't as strong as we wanted, people told us we needed to check this out. Holy crap were they right. This has the strongest burn I've experienced in a long time. It feels like my throat and stomach are filled with red-hot embers. You know what? It's great. It's definitely a sipping soda. The more you drink the tamer the burn, but don't wait too long between sips or you'll get a fresh kick in the butt. It has capsicum in it, which is a hot pepper. That is definitely in cahoots with the ginger. I love it. It just hurts in all the right ways.

Crater Lake Soda Root Beer
This is what I call a damn good bottle of root beer! It's exactly how I like my root beer: creamy, smooth, and lots of flavor. There was just the right about of traditional root beer bite too. On top of it, this is a local soda so that's a big plus.

Hansen's Natural Cane Soda Cherry Vanilla Creme
I bought an 8 pack of this on a whim because they were on sale and it looked like a flavor I'd love. I don't usually take chances when I buy more than a 4 pack, but I am so glad I did this time. Unlike the last soda from Hansen's I tried, this one is full of flavor! Each sip tastes different than the last. Sometimes it tastes like cream soda with a strong vanilla taste and a hint of cherry. Other times it tastes like a creamy cherry vanilla soda. This soda is delicious and goes down so smooth.

College Club Grapefruit
We're finally heading towards the end of our Monroe Beverage Co adventure. Only a couple left. The grapefruit left a little to be desired. It only faintly tastes like grapefruit, unlike the other grapefruit sodas I've had. It just tastes sugary with a very slight sourness to it. It's not bad, I was just expecting it to be stronger.

Fizzy Lizzy Fuji Apple
This is my first Fizzy Lizzy drink and I am already a huge fan. I was expecting just a plain, mom and pop, pop. I could not be more wrong. It was sweetened naturally from the fruit in it (apples and lemons) and was just filtered carbonated water. This rules. It's like a sparkling apple juice like you would get to celebrate winning a vicious T-ball game, but in a single serve container. It is all apple juice and not a lot of lemon, if we have to get lemon into the mix. I mean, it's in the ingredients, but it's not in the flavor as far as I'm concerned.
I've got another bottle of grapefruit at home and I think that Jay's got some bottle lying around waiting on a review so prepare yourselves for some solid drinks. I also couldn't think of a better fall drink. Apples. I feel like this past week has been chocked full of apple juice and ciders. This was a good alternative.

Bigelow Organic Green Tea Original Green
Once again, Biglow knows tea. This tea is just wonderful. It's so simple. It's sweetened green tea, but not uber-sweet. Sorry, I don't know how to make an umlaut, but I am aware that one belongs there. This tea leaves everything where it belongs. The green tea still has bitterness and it's sweet, but not overpowering. It's weak, but in a good way. If they would have put more green tea, it would have bitten too hard, but if they put more sugar in it, you wouldn't be able to drink too much in fear of your teeth getting holes in it like that vision your mom gives you when she tells you that drinking Gatorade puts holes in your teeth. This is a large bottle. 2.5 servings according to whatever person is in charge of making serving sizes, but you know what? Take your time. You've got time. Get a bottle and just drink it. Sip here. Sip there. It doesn't get old. It's great. Nothing funny. No funny business, just great tea.

Sweet Leaf Sweet Tea
Finally. Do you know how hard it is to find a genuine, sincere sweet tea? Near impossible. Do you know what the ingredients to sweet tea are? Sugar and black tea. Done. Period. Also, not fake sugar. No one would make you a drink with Splenda and tea and call it sweet tea and get away with it without a black eye and/or broken tibia. Yeah, that's a rough bone to break.
Now I enjoy sharing. I share drinks, food, seats in my car, everything. I shared this drink with a friend and he said that it was good. Why does that mean something? Dude's from Georgia. Do you know where Georgia is? The South. Do you know what they drink in the South? Sweet tea. Therefore, this man knows a thing or two about how it should be and this got his seal of approval.
Sweet Leaf? Thanks.

Mira Voy! Aloe Vera Nectar
This is my first visit with the Mira aloe drink. It's slightly different from the Aloevine original aloe flavor. This one doesn't taste as much like grape, even though it has artificial grape flavor in it. It does have a general sweet taste that I really enjoy. The aloe chunks in this one are also a lot bigger, which is pretty great. I just can't get enough of aloe drinks.

What's Knew Freshet Pink Lemonade Flavor Tea
As soon as I smelled this I could tell that it was made from tea powder. It tastes like the iced tea I would make in junior high. I would put twice the recommended amount of tea powder and sugar in. That's not a trip down memory lane I needed to take. It does smell faintly like raspberries, which I assume is the pink aspect of it, but it only tastes like lemon. I didn't even bother finishing the bottle.

Boylan's Grape
Boylan is quickly becoming my favorite soda company. I've loved every flavor that I have tried thus far. Grape is no different. It falls somewhere between an actual grape and grape candy flavoring. Children everywhere love this drink. Their faces smeared with chocolate and candy, grasping the bottle of soda as if it were their only friend in the world, chugging away, with a small stream of sugary goodness running down their chin. Grab a bottle. Grab a kiddie pool. Enjoy.

Ginger People Ginger Soother Ginger
Alright. I'm ready to review this. Let it be known that I am not gingers biggest fan. This drink tastes just like ginger and honey. Take some ginger and somehow wrap it in honey and pop that jam in your cake hole. Initially there is a shocking burn from the genuine ginger. After a few more sips or chugs depending on how mature you are it seems to calm down.

Mayer Bros. Sweet Cider
Mayer Bros is my hometown cider mill. By default it is my favorite cider I've ever had. Is there really much difference in fresh ciders? I have no idea. I mean the only ingredient is apples. I will now choose to believe that Mayer Bros uses the highest quality apples this world has ever seen. I doubt this bottle will even last me the ride home. If you go to the cider mill you can also get apple slushies. No lie. Best. Thing. Ever. Unfortunately the machine was out of order today. Looks like I'll be heading back next week.

Honeydrop Deluxe Blueberry and Honey
Well color me pleasantly surprised. This was found at my local co-op and it is good. It's got chunks of blueberries and a lot of honey. The jam is sweetened with honey and that makes me smile. It's got a great blueberry taste.
I can't wait to try the rest of Honeydrop's drinks in the near future.

Jones Gaba Lemon Honey Tea
This is a pretty strong lemon black tea. It has a weird aftertaste that I can't place. Maybe it's the Gamma Amino Butyric Acid that the tea is infused with. It's supposed to increase clarity and lower your nervousness. It's better than the last flavor of Gaba I had, but I still can't imagine grabbing a can of this at the store over other types of lemon tea. Then again, I'm not looking to achieve any sort of clarity.

Becker Farms Apple Cider
This is it. This cider plus the apple cinnamon donut that was accompanying it made my fall/autumn. It just tastes like apples. I don't know what makes cider different than apple juice but whatever it is, keep up the good work.
This stuff was made like within 100 feet of where I bought it so you couldn't get fresher. It's all apples and nothing else. If you have the chance, get some.

New Leaf Black Tea
I like iced tea. A lot. I don't really buy it without being green tea or oolong or jasmine or at least something with additional flavor. When I got to a restaurant I usually like to take a load off by getting an unsweetened tea because the alternative is horrid, super sweet, super syrupy tea.
I've been a fan of New Leaf since my first bottle a year or two ago. It was just clearly a good quality tea. It's actually nice to unwind with a nice unsweetened tea every once in a while. This tea is nice. Since it's unsweetened, you could drink it at any temperature. I drank it cold and it was very refreshing. It only tasted like black tea and that's all one could ask for.

College Club Orange
This is the thickest of the Monroe Bottling Co. sodas that I have had. It tastes like your average orange soda. Nothing special. It's still tasty, but it's just nothing new. So fire up the grill, get out the veggie dogs and let's get this BBQ started.

Saranac Ginger Beer
Is it wrong that I wanted this to hurt? I wanted this to burn like the fires of hell. You get a little burn after your throat is thoroughly covered in ginger juice. There's actually a nice smooth head on the top so it's almost like you're drinking a real beer, if you're into that type of stuff.
As for flavor, if you've ever eaten the ginger you get with sushi, you get this.

Pom Tea Pomegranate Lychee Green Tea
When I picked this up I, of course, didn't really look at it. I saw that it was Pom Tea, and I figured it was Pomegranate Green Tea. When I got home and opened it, I could instantly smell the lychee, which was a nice surprise. This is a nice blend of pomegranate and lychee. The two fruits combined create a rich bitter yet sweet flavor. I've had lychee tea before that a friend described as tasting like "sucking on an old ladies dirty clothes." Luckily this tastes nothing like that at all. Pom can be a little expensive, but it's a specialty drink with insane antioxidant properties. It's worth every cent.

Fizzy Lizzy Raspberry Lemon
A. Hello, my name is Jerry I will be your waiter this evening. What can I get you to drink?
B. Oh hello. Can I just get water?
A. Would you like lemon in it?
B. That would be great.
A. How about a splash of raspberry as well?
B. Really? You can do that? Well sure, that sounds good.
A. Would you also like me to lightly carbonate it for you?
B. Come on now this isn't even the water I ordered anymore. This is now a Fizzy Lizzy soda. Yes, yes I would like that.
