Jones Soda Cream Soda (Sneak Attack)
Elves. What is worse than stinkin' elves? Everyone is always like "Oh the elves are so cute. The elves never do anything wrong. Stop beating that elf over the head with that leg of lamb." How is it that I am the only one who can see them for the sneaky little turds that they are?
Here's a perfect example. Last week my barrels of cream soda I have been brewing were just about ready to be drank along with the mead. This morning I went to go check on them and give it a little tasting and four of the five barrels were gone, and the fifth had been drained. Of course I didn't see them do it, but as I stormed out of the still one of those little buggers yelled "Sneak Attack" and they all giggled. I know it was them. They are the ones responsible for all of our goods that go missing. If we went and stormed their fortress in the woods I'm sure we'd find it all. We'd find my sweet, sweet vanilla cream soda. Sure, it might actually be a little too sweet, but I don't see you doing any better. The vanilla taste is great, without leaving much of an aftertaste. Oh man I was so smart to use the inverted cane sugar to sweeten it. It made the soda way less syrupy. I'm getting all worked up now. I want that soda, and if it takes elven blood being spilled for that to happen....SO BE IT!!!
ps: I'd like to say this was a special blend, but it's really just the normal Jones cream soda with a different label.

Cricket All Natural Cola Infused with Green Tea
When Pinocchio was released in 1940 actor Jiminy Cricket was riding high. He was invited to all of the parties thrown by Hollywood's elite. He was rarely if ever seen out on the town without a beautiful girl and boy on each of his arms. Some might say he owned the city for that year. Unfortunately Jiminy soon found out that there wasn't much work available in films for crickets. In the late 40's he did a couple of television commercials, and then faded completely from the public eye. Like with many fall from grace stories there were rumors of drug addiction and prostitution. In 1953 Jiminy was found dead in his shoebox apartment on the lower east side of New York. The coroner ruled the cause of death an overdose on Black Flag. Jiminy had apparently taken up mainlining the stuff.
In the years that followed paternity suits popped up. The courts threw out hundreds of cases and it wasn't until 1983 when John Cricket came forward that an heir to Jiminy's royalties was named. Coming from a rich background, John had no personal need for the inheritance. As a result he invested it all into making soda. His specialty was a cola that he infused with two cups of his father's favorite drink; green tea. The soda had a strong tea flavor that outweighed that of the cola. The cane sugar overpowered the bitterness of the tea and gave it a nice rounded out clean flavor. It also has a slight herbalness to it. That was fine for the collectors who wanted to get their paws on everything Jiminy related.

Jones Soda Berry Lemonade
Jones soda is the middle child of pop. It's been around for a while, but it's not old and respected like the oldest child (Pepsi/Coca-Cola). But at the same time, it's not as exciting as new and upcoming sodas. It's often forgotten about in favor of the flavor of the month, or the old standbys. I've overlooked it many times because in the back of my head I think, "It will always be there". Someday, maybe it won't be. Maybe the middle soda child will get so sad after being pushed aside for so many years that it will run away.
I don't want that to happen, which is why I picked up this bottle. Upon taking the first sip, I remembered that Jones rarely disappoints me. Despite the blue color, this tastes like a blackberry. It's really tart from the lemonade, which is nice. Despite it being pop, I think this would be really refreshing on a hot day. I can't be for certain as I was drinking this in an air-conditioned room.
Jones, please don't run away. We love you!

Jones Naturals Strawberry Manilow
If you didn't chuckle at the name of this drink I assure you, you have no soul. It's funny. You know a little wacky word play. I give up. You were tragically born without a sense of humor.
I would have really liked this a lot more if it didn't have dairy in it. It really would have made a great juice. All of the berries really blend well together. Instead it tastes like a liquid version of those Lifesavers Creme Savers candy. Those never sat right with me. Solidified creme is just plain strange.

Jones Gaba Grapefruit Tea-Juice
There is really only the faintest of grapefruit flavoring in this tea. It mainly tastes like tea with the GABA in it. The only time I've ever tasted it was in this line of Jones. I'm not really a big fan. This will be the last one of these that I will be reviewing. They all taste similar and not too exciting.

Jones Gaba Lemon Honey Tea
This is a pretty strong lemon black tea. It has a weird aftertaste that I can't place. Maybe it's the Gamma Amino Butyric Acid that the tea is infused with. It's supposed to increase clarity and lower your nervousness. It's better than the last flavor of Gaba I had, but I still can't imagine grabbing a can of this at the store over other types of lemon tea. Then again, I'm not looking to achieve any sort of clarity.

Jones Soda Blue Bubblegum
I love this soda because you get exactly what you're expecting. The drink is a great color of clear blue, and the bubblegum flavor is spot on. I've never had any other bubblegum flavored drink (are there any?), so it's impossible to compare this to others. This is one of my favorite flavors Jones makes. It's smooth, delicious, and I always want more after the bottle is empty.

Jones Soda Cola
I don't know why I expected more out of this. Jones makes some great original flavors, but apparently they can't make a good cola. This tasted like very generic cola, nothing special to it at all. The only plus to it was that it was made with cane sugar, so it lacked the normal bite colas made with HFCS have. Interestingly, unlike most sodas made with cane sugar this had caffeine in it.

Jones Gaba Nectarine
Why is it that I always expect drinks in cans (specifically skinny cans) to be carbonated? I really need to thoroughly read the cans before I take my first sip. I was expecting a carbonated tea, but it's just a nice white tea / juice combo. It's also chock full of Gamma Amino Butyric Acid, which according to the can, increases your focus and clarity. It sounds like it was made to help with studies and work, but in real life I'm sure underage kids are drinking it to help them slay the dragon in whatever video game they are playing.

Jones Naturals Limes with Orange
I've never been a huge fan of the Jones company. I do appreciate that they were early to the game in using cane sugar, but their sodas so sugary that they left a film on my teeth. This is my first tasting of one of their juices, and I have to say that I enjoy it much more than their sodas I've had in the past. It tastes like a thicker, but not syrupy, orange juice with a hint of lime. It may only be 10% juice, but it doesn't make you feel like crap like most other "juices" do.
