I had never heard of Snow before until a couple of days ago when in the span of a couple hours I got a bunch of text messages from people asking me if I had tried it yet. I guess it must have just hit the shelves, and my friends are looking out for Thirsty Dudes.
It's really a great soda. It's light, but still flavorful. I did not have high hopes for this. The can looks like something you would find in a Dollar Store. I'm really glad I was proved wrong. Raspberry, cranberry and pomegranate make a good team together. I will definitely be trying the other flavors.
I don't know what snow has to do with this drink, except they donate proceeds to help combat global warming. The name and the can design make it look like it's a season drink. I hope that does not deter sales for them once the warmer weather kicks back in.

There is really only the faintest of grapefruit flavoring in this tea. It mainly tastes like tea with the GABA in it. The only time I've ever tasted it was in this line of Jones. I'm not really a big fan. This will be the last one of these that I will be reviewing. They all taste similar and not too exciting.

So I'm back in Buffalo. That means Taco Tuesdays are back on. Okay, we get burritos, but Burrito Tuesdays just doesn't have the same ring. For some reason I love drinking unsweetened tea with burritos. I have no idea why, but I think they really compliment each other.
Last night when we were eating our burritos, I decided that I wanted to feel like I was at a Chinese restaurant while I ate my food, so I grabbed a jasmine green tea. I'm fairly new to the world of jasmine tea. I don't know why I never got it in the past, but I absolutely love it now. It strangely tastes like the clean hippy girls in high school smelled. You know the ones that weren't so dirty that they had to douse themselves in patchouli. After rereading that, it makes this sound disgusting, but I'm sticking with it, because that's what it makes me think of and I still think this tea is delicious.

I found this at Whole Foods. I thought that lingonberry was one of the berries that had been genetically crossed to create the local favorite loganberry. Our friends from Wales told us that there was a carbonated loganberry drink from Sweden. I assumed this was it. I was wrong and after some research I found out that it was a blackberry mixed with a raspberry.
Even though this doesn't have anything to do with the ever elusive loganberry, it was pretty great. I have a great respect for companies who can successfully carbonate juice without it being too sweet or tasting like seltzer water. Kristall got the magic right. It does taste very similar to a very, very light loganberry. I highly suggest trying this is you ever see it.
It's probably just because it says "Swedish" on the bottle, but it reminds me of the taste of Swedish Fish. My girlfriend said I was crazy and she didn't taste it at all. I do love those little candies though. Eat one of those and a Sour Patch Kid at the same time and it's a party in your mouth.

I can't get over how smooth this is. I yet again expected it to be really harsh. I always feel like anything that has a lot of antioxidants in it is going to be super strong. I should have learned better from my last Bom Dia.
It tastes a lot like pear juice. I'm guessing that's the mangosteen. I really need to try a lot of these weird fruits in their natural form, so I can better identify the flavors. You also have to love a drink that is as sweet as this that has no added sugar. Dear Bolthouse, you have done it again. You've made drinking healthy things tasty and fun.

I was skeptical about the Vignette series of sodas, mainly because actual wine smells like death to me. It smells so bad that I can't even comprehend how bad it must taste. Most people seem to love wine, but you know what I'm not most people and I don't trust others tastes.
I cracked this open and the smell was not offensive at all. I took a little sip, and what do we have here? This is really good. I'd even say great. If my memory from 20 years ago is correct, this tastes a lot like Mystic drinks when they used to be carbonated. I'm probably totally off on that, but that's what comes to mind.
It's like the lightest white grape juice, carbonated. There's something else in there as well. I can't quite place what it is, but it's just incredible. I salute you Vignette you have created something that I will now crave, but not be able to get around my hometown.

On the last night of our tour, we decided to drive overnight home from Philly. It was a 6.5-hour drive and I was the only one who could drive in the car. When we stopped to get gas, I grabbed my old standby energy drink: Monster Khaos.
I think this is one of, if not the best tasting energy drinks. I attribute this to the fact that it is 50% juice. The mostly tangerine and pineapple tasting juice overrides the chemical taste as best as it can. I mean if you have to drink one of these things, you might as well grab one that has something in it that isn't completely unhealthy. It also helps that if gives you all the pep you need for an overnight drive.

A lot of people go on and on about strawberries and raspberries. Those people have it all wrong. Although those are both great fruits, the blackberry is your money berry. When they are just ripe they are a perfect food.
I pulled off the highway somewhere in South Carolina and saw a sign that said "Peach Cider." I knew I had to stop. When we entered it was a magical cider world of all varieties. This drink caught my eye, and I thought it was going to be the single greatest drink I've ever had. While it is good, it's not the best I've ever had. When you first sip it, it tastes like wonderful blackberries. Unfortunately when you swallow a harsh aftertaste sets in. I know it's a natural flavor, but I wish the sweetness would last a bit longer. If you've ever in SC and you see a place that sells this, by all means go crazy.

I've been putting off trying this diet Function that was sent to us. I really disliked the other diet Function I had. This one really wasn't that bad at all. It lacked that overly diet taste that I had expected. Instead the fruit flavor was the strongest to my taste buds. I might go as far as to say this is the most un-diety diet drink I've ever had. Go ahead, give it a try.

As cheesy as the label is, I really expected this to be intense. I mean it even had a picture of a foot that says "With a kick." That bee sure looks angry, or maybe it's sassy. Unfortunately it tastes like flat watered down ginger beer. I would describe it as if Vitamin Water made a ginger drink, but even more watered down. It does have a decent ginger burn as an aftertaste, but other than that it just tastes blah.

I really need to check out some more Guayaki flavors. This is my second one, and it's even better than the first. It's yerba mate tea with passion fruit and peach in it. Two of my favorite fruits mixed in with an "unusual" tea. Sounds like a dream to me.
I was driving home from Philadelphia when I drank this, and I was in such awe of the flavor that blasted my taste buds that I was in fear of crashing my car. Well that's an exaggeration, but it's just plain great. It has a very strong taste without being overly sweet, and that is something I look for in an iced tea.

A few years back I had a weekly DJ night at a bar here in Buffalo with my friend Bill. We got free drinks all night, but since neither of us drank, the bartender would feed us shots of wheat grass. I expected it to be gross, but I actually really enjoyed it. I was pumped to try this because it combined two things I was a big fan of. Unfortunately, it didn't really taste too much like wheat grass (well at least what I remember it tasting like). The aloe flavor and sweetness of it overpowered the wheat grass. The chunks of aloe in this were pretty huge too. Some of them were the size of crushed grapes. It's not the best Aloe juice I've ever had, but it was still a decent drink.

I really like that a lot of companies are starting to bring back glass bottles for their pop. I hope it's not a limited time sort of thing. Pop tastes better in glass than in cans or plastic. It's a scientific fact. The fine folks at NASA proved it back in the 70's. I think it was even mentioned in the Watergate files.
This tastes like a better version of the A&W you're used to. It's not as syrupy and it doesn't taste too cheap. I don't think I would ever buy a "normal" A&W if I saw it in a store, but it would be likely for me to pick another one of these up.

I really want to get one of those machines that let you carbonate anything. How great would that be? I would carbonate the dumbest stuff, just because I could. Carbonated chocolate milk? Sure it would be gross, but I'd still do it.
This tastes like it was home carbonated, and I mean that in a good way. I know it's just some sort of syrup in carbonated water, but it's great. I feel like I'm drinking it in a little cafe somewhere in Italy.
Now bring on the carbonated soup.

Nantucket Nectars sure knows how to make a quality juice. After drinking so much garbage that's out there it's nice to find a juice that actually tastes like the fruit it's named after. It tastes like someone dumped some mango puree into a glass of orange juice.
It's the way that I want my morning juice to taste.

The original Drank was a southern hip hop "beverage." It was normally Sprite with a bottle of codeine cough syrup dumped in it. Sometimes Jolly Ranchers were thrown in for good measure.
Now this is a mass produced "safe" version. It's pretty much a very light grape pop with rose hips, melatonin and Valerian Root thrown in.
I expected this to be very thick on syrupy, as I image the original version was. It really just tastes like a tame grape soda.
It definitely relaxes you and makes you sleepy. As the can says "slow your roll."

I used to be able to find these around Buffalo, but I haven't seen them for quite some time. I just grabbed one at a store in Richmond. Great story, isn't it?
It's a nice orange pop. You can definitely taste mandarin as being the specific type of orange used.
This also came in a special bicentennial package. A company that has stayed in business for 200 years has obviously been doing something right.

Drinking a Hi Ball just sounds classy, and that is just what this is, a classy energy drink. You know, something for those late night black tie affairs. I mean who would be caught dead drinking a Red Bull at such an event?
This tastes like a watered down Ocean Spray cranapple. I mean that in the best of ways. It's very light, and it's unlikely it will stain your freshly ironed white shirt.
I also really like the vintage logo design.
In conclusion if you need an extra boost of energy, but don't want to feel like you're going to be participating in any extreme sports, look no further.

I hate that I keep comparing these to Arizona, but they are tall boys of iced tea that are 99 cents. The raspberry one even tastes similar to the Arizona one. It's not as syrupy, but thicker than I expected. I do enjoy it, and I hope the spread to Western New York, so I can grab them on the go. Really, how can you go wrong with a decent tea for that cheap?

The bottle says it all, "Looks weird, tastes amazing." It's made from a whole mess of fruit with the added "boost" of a whole mess of weird vegetables. It's nice to have a "health" drink that tastes great.
It's similar to the Bolthouse Green Goodness, but this just tastes better. It's thick and sweet and yes it "tastes amazing."
