Steaz Sparkling Green Tea Zero Calorie Blueberry Pomegranate
When I read naturally sweetened, I don't think that it's sweetened with a natural sweetener. That's why the first time I took a sip and got that eternally cool erythritol taste I was surprised. That taste sticks with you through the otherwise not bad taste of the blueberry and pomegranate, which in itself, isn't too distinguishable in itself.
It isn't the worst thing ever. It still has a bit to offer. It's a good/different diet alternative.

Jarritos Guava
Jarritos, where have you gone? Why can I no longer find you around Buffalo? Your tasty sodas were everywhere down in FL. I understand you're made in Mexico, but c'mon. C'mon!
Every other guava drink I've ever had has been super thick. Most would even be classified as nectar. This has a thinner consistency, but not in a way that it seems watered down. Normal guava juice is always ridiculously sweet, but this has a very specific cane sugar sweetness to it. It's always awesome to find a nontraditional fruit flavor in soda, especially one that I don't want to pour in the toilet.

Vignette Wine Country Soda Rosè
Before we even took a sip my girlfriend proclaimed RosΓΖΓβΓβΓΒ© to be the grossest of all wines. She also added that it was wine for old ladies. It's apparently a mix of red and white wine for the geriatric woman.
This is my least favorite of the Vignette sodas. It's very dry, and not very flavorful. It really doesn't taste much like anything at first. Then it has a slightly grapey aftertaste.
If you see Vignette anywhere go with one of the other flavors.

Maine Root Blueberry Soda
I thought that it was going to be good but I didn't think that it was going to be this good. When you think of a fruit pop you think of grape or strawberry which is wildly sweet and often a little too much. This is a nice blueberry flavor that tastes like real fruit and not like some artificial scientific fruit. There isn't any cola taste and it's all fruit so there isn't anything covering anything else up.
Main Root has a lot of different flavors and I'm excited to try the rest.

Nehi Grape
You know what's awesome? A decent grape pop. Grape pop has the potential to be so bad, so when a company gets it right it's cause for celebration. A celebration such as a work picnic perhaps? All the adults are playing softball downing some brews while the kids are running around getting in trouble with grape pop dribbling down their chins.
Nehi is a picnic pop. It doesn't actually contain grapes, but the flavor they have created does taste more like a purple grape than it does chemical.

Cawy Diet Pineapple
I hate to say it, but it's better than the non-diet version. It's less candy and a titch more diet at the very end, like one minute after you drink it. The "problem" with the first one was that it was so sweet that it was hard to drink. Kevin [featured], my boss, friend, and drinker of many of my diet drinks has the following to say:
Thank you Kevin and now you, the general public, have another diet drink to enjoy.
It reminded me of eating a pineapple Jolly Rancher with a little less sweetness. It didn't give me that "phlegmy" throat you usually get with fruity drinks. The fact that I'm still drinking it 10 minutes later means that I'm not overwhelmed by too much fruit.
Thank you Kevin and now you, the general public, have another diet drink to enjoy.

Abita Root Beer
I just recently found out that a bunch of beer breweries also have their own line of root beer. I for one think that's pretty rad. A friend recommended this, and said that Abita also made really good beer. I will just have to take her word on that.
I really like the bottles that these come in. They are shorter and fatter than your typical bottles. Something about them just screams "Hey these are the kind of bottles cowboys would drink out of!"
I was a bit skeptical when I read the ingredients and it says "root beer flavor." I was expecting it to taste like those little root beer candies. Luckily I was wrong and it has a fairly good taste to it. This is a great root beer for someone who wants something more than an A&W or Dads, but doesn't like the complex flavors in a root beer like Virgils.

Cool Mountain Fountain Classics Razzberry
This is a bright blue soda that looks eerily like the poison that Christian Slater mixes up to feed to the girl in Heathers. You know the one that makes her fall right over into the glass table.
It tastes like you might expect, like a melted freezie pop. Unfortunately it has a pretty bad aftertaste. It tastes almost diet. How does something with cane sugar have a diet aftertaste?
The cap asks the question "Are you thirsty?" I have to answer "Yes, yes I am because your beverage wasn't very good and I didn't finish the whole thing and pawned it off on my friends."

Mountain Dew White Out
I love video games. I really do. Do I wish that I could do all night LAN parties and Xbox Live until the break of dawn? You betcha. Do I make a big deal and schedule events when new games come out so that my dude friends can rage in my living room? Ab-so-lutely. Let me also say that I am a web developer. Have you ever gone into a web developer's office/basement "office"/bedroom? There are typically mountains, walls, and barriers made of Mountain Dew cans and bottles. I've seen it with my own eyes.
I don't really like it. It's just got a bit of a toxic taste to it that I can't place. It just tastes artificial. There is no distinguishable flavor. It's just whatever Mountain Dew tastes like. I recently bought a sub/hoagie/grinder from across the street and when you do that, you can get a free can of pop. I saw it there and decided what better time than now? So here I am, in my office, doing "The Dew" and I have to tell you, it's not bad. You still get traditional Mountain Dew flavor as an aftertaste but there is a definite "citrus" flavor on top and it's not bad. Sure it's mega sweet but it's to be expected.
If you want to try it, try it. You can get it by the can or bottle so you don't have to commit to a case or 2 liter bottle, which might be dental suicide. You might be surprised and like it.

Jeff's Chocolate Soda
I saw this on the shelf in a random grocery store and I needed to have it. Then I got home and saw that it fairly largely proclaimed to have "Egg Cream." The thought made me want to hurl. Imagine a nice root beer and then someone dumps a bunch of whipped egg in it. That probably sounds like the worst thing ever.
After putting it off for a few days, I decided this was the night. There were a bunch of people hanging out and I could pass it around, so I wouldn't feel like I had to drink the whole thing.
You know what? It's not that bad. It tastes like someone took a sweet flavorless soda and dumped a packet of Swiss Miss hot chocolate mix in it. It has the consistency of chocolate milk, with a nice thick head on it. It's a bit weird, but the more you drink of it, the better it is. It's really only the aftertaste that is weird.
I also just realized it kind of tastes like when I was a kid and I thought I was awesome, so before school I would mix all of the beverages in my fridge and drink it at the bus stop. On the days that there was chocolate milk, and no orange juice, it really wasn't all that bad. It's like the Burger King self serve special. We've all done that.

Blenheim Ginger Ale
Well hello there, friend. Where did that burn come from? I did not expect that. Someone was nice enough to recommend the Blenheim red cap, "hot" ginger ale and when Jay got back from tour, he came back with this one. I knew the name looked familiar when I saw it today in the fridge. This is just the "medium" ginger ale but it's got a serious punch that I am proud to say that I liked through and through. I like ginger ale a lot and this isn't your Pep Pep's ginger ale. It's sweet, but the burn quickly takes over. Don't worry, though. It leaves you with a nice mid-sweet/mid-hot aftertaste.
I can't say enough good things about this drink. Get some and leave some comments about your impressions. I can't wait to get my hands on a red cap.

Cawy Red Cola Fruiti Cola
The Cawy sodas have been pretty hit or miss. This one is closer to the center of the board than most, but it doesn't quite hit the bulls-eye.
Fruiti Cola is similar to a cherry cola, but instead of cherry being the added flavor it's more of a fruit punch. It has an aftertaste that, as a friend pointed out, is very reminiscent of cotton candy.
I like the flavor of this, but it's a bit too sweet for me to finish an entire can. I can see this being a favorite for little kids.
I also think this may be what Neil Diamond was singing about in "Porcupine Pie." "Tutti fruit, and fruiti blue cheese." Really what was that man thinking?

Sidral Mundet Apple
This was pleasant. I can't believe that we (Buffalo) don't have this. It was the perfect blend of sweet and apple that it was never too much. Everyone in the office agrees, this is an exceptional drink. You get a real apple taste the entire time and there is no artificial taste ever, whether the drink is in your mouth or in an aftertaste. They claim that "the flavor comes from the apple" and they're right. There are no artificial flavor or sweeteners in this drink. I can't say enough good things. This is a re-purchase and I thank Jay for picking it up from wherever he got it from.

Vignette Wine Country Soda Pinot Noir
I come home from two hours of grocery shopping; a task that I hate, and I want to relax. What do regular people do? Drink a glass of wine. Since neither I, nor do any of the other Thirsty Dudes, drink "real" alcohol. This company makes their pop with wine grapes, but they are not alcoholic. I haven't drunk wine since...1997 so I don't know how it tastes, but I do feel like I know how it smells. This didn't smell very strong, but did have a sweet nose to it. The taste was sharp, small, and flavorful. After getting about a quarter way through the bottle, I started getting a little bit of the wine grapes and actually started feeling like I was doing something wrong. It didn't help that I was drinking it out of a wine glass. I wanted the full effect, you know?
As soon as I took a break for a few minutes and took another sip, it was back to Poptown, USA.
It was pretty good and I think due to its approach at being brewed from wine beginnings, this would probably be marketable towards a lot of different people, my pregnant girlfriend for one. She can't drink so this is a close second.
I liked it and know they have other kinds like blush and Chardonnay that would be interesting to try. Try them out and let us know what you think.

Abbott Farms Gray Mule Spicy Ginger Ale
Disappointment city. A donkey wearing glasses showing its teeth says, "It kicks!" This should have been the best ginger ale I've ever had. Instead mediocrity reigned supreme. When it was in your mouth it tasted like carbonated candy water. Then when you smiled it burned. I love a good ginger burn, the thing was this was a different type of burn altogether. Upon reading the ingredients I discovered there wasn't any ginger in it at all. I don't even want to know what created the burn. I choked through about a third of the bottle, and then I had to give up. To reiterate: Disappointment city.

Abbott Farms Kangaroo Jack Root Beer
This is my first review of the slew of sodas I got at the Abbott Farms rest stop in South Carolina. I walked in and saw a wall of random bottles of soda, and my day just got brighter.
This root beer is actually made by Abbott Farms. It's a decent run of the mill root beer. It reminds me a lot of Barq's actually. Instead of having "bite" it comes "with a kick." I would have expected that to mean it had caffeine in it, but no.
Sometimes you want a fancy root beer and sometimes you want a "candy" root beer. This is something that can fill your needs in those times.

Snow Cranberry Pomraz
I had never heard of Snow before until a couple of days ago when in the span of a couple hours I got a bunch of text messages from people asking me if I had tried it yet. I guess it must have just hit the shelves, and my friends are looking out for Thirsty Dudes.
It's really a great soda. It's light, but still flavorful. I did not have high hopes for this. The can looks like something you would find in a Dollar Store. I'm really glad I was proved wrong. Raspberry, cranberry and pomegranate make a good team together. I will definitely be trying the other flavors.
I don't know what snow has to do with this drink, except they donate proceeds to help combat global warming. The name and the can design make it look like it's a season drink. I hope that does not deter sales for them once the warmer weather kicks back in.

Kristall Swedish Lingonberry
I found this at Whole Foods. I thought that lingonberry was one of the berries that had been genetically crossed to create the local favorite loganberry. Our friends from Wales told us that there was a carbonated loganberry drink from Sweden. I assumed this was it. I was wrong and after some research I found out that it was a blackberry mixed with a raspberry.
Even though this doesn't have anything to do with the ever elusive loganberry, it was pretty great. I have a great respect for companies who can successfully carbonate juice without it being too sweet or tasting like seltzer water. Kristall got the magic right. It does taste very similar to a very, very light loganberry. I highly suggest trying this is you ever see it.
It's probably just because it says "Swedish" on the bottle, but it reminds me of the taste of Swedish Fish. My girlfriend said I was crazy and she didn't taste it at all. I do love those little candies though. Eat one of those and a Sour Patch Kid at the same time and it's a party in your mouth.

Romano's Italian Soda Diet Orange Cream
This tastes a lot like an orange creamsicle but with a hint of that long lasting Splenda sweetness. You can refer to my non-diet review and basically append "tastes a little diet" to it. It's one of the better diet drinks I've had as it's not uber-sweet and doesn't have that tooth-curdling linger. Speaking of linger, this drink stays with you. I took a sip probably about two or three minutes ago and I can still kind of taste it. If you like that, that's great. I personally don't really like a lingering drink.
I don't know of many drinks that have such a true orange creamsicle taste so if you are feeling nostalgic or just like orange cream try this. Unfortunately, I don't know where to get Romano's stuff. On their site you can get a list of cities and states their products are sold in.
