When companies make soda clear that normally isn't clear, I am simultaneously excited and weary. Luckily, it usually works out just fine and tastes just as good without the food coloring. This is my first clear birch beer, and I must say it is quite nice. Upon opening this bottle, it let off a smell that I couldn't quite place but it was really nice. It was a refreshing, almost mint smell to it. Then I was hoping this drink would have a mint aftertaste to it.

While there is no mint taste, I really enjoy this. It's been a while since I've had birch beer, and this brings me back to my high school graduation party where I had a keg of birch beer. Hosmer really knows how to make a smooth and flavorful soda.

When you have a long day, sometimes you just want to relax. Some choose beer. Some choose weed. Others (wisely) choose cream soda.

Advantages of cream soda over beer:

1. You don't have to drink cream soda through a dryer sheet in your dorm room


2. You will actually want to eat a standard amount of pizza vs. unknowingly eat an entire pizza


3. Drinking cream soda doesn't have a bad connotation with being dirty, owning large amounts of hemp attire, or having dreadlocks

This Zuberfizz cream soda is good. It's candy-esque, but for the first time, not too sweet candy. It's a very soft, vanilla flavor. Nothing too sharp like a lot of colas or juices can produce. It has a very clean vanilla taste and is something anyone can enjoy. It's not not sweet enough for kids, and not grossly sweet for attractive, older ladies whose husbands turned out to be lazy jerks and never washed the dishes one time even though he was unemployed for four months and seemingly never left the house while she bust her hump.

I have never had a cream soda that is sweetened with brown sugar. Now that I have, I wish more companies would try it out. This is a really smooth cream soda, as cream soda should be. The rich sweetness from the brown sugar makes this a really unique cream soda. It gives it a slight molasses taste, which is awesome in my eyes. This is my first soda by Hosmer Mountain and now I'm really excited to see what else they have to offer.

Jelly Belly runs the jellybean game. Seriously no other company comes even close to touching them. They have single-handedly turned the candy into a year round thing, and not just an Easter time ordeal. When they stepped up and started making the gross ones from Harry Potter, my admiration grew even more. What's more fun then sitting in the dark with your friends so you can't see what jelly bean your eating, praying that you don't get wasabi or grass. Okay a lot of things are more fun than that, but it was entertaining for 15 minutes one night.

When I saw that Jelly Belly had expanded into sodas I was a little hesitant to try them. I thought they were going to be really strong and extreme. Of course like with most things, I was wrong. This actually tastes just like the blueberry jellybeans they make. It actually tastes like a blueberry, which can't be said for most fruit flavored pops. It's a little candy-esque, but in a good way. Let's just pray they don't start making Harry Potter flavors, or popcorn. Ick, just ick.

Last night I had one of the worst nights of sleep of my life. I went to bed around 1:30. Then from then until about 5am I woke up every half hour on the nose. Sometimes I was freezing. Sometimes I had to pee and others there seemed to be no good reason. I finally got fed up, and went and grabbed an Unwind. This allowed me to sleep for two straight hours, then the half hour bouts of sleep started anew. This has all of the usual sleep suspects listed on the ingredients; Valerian root, melatonin, passion flower and others. I'm not blaming the drink for not doing its job. I think on any other night it would have worked wonderfully. I think there was just something wrong with me last night. My roommate blamed it on me eating too much pizza flavored hummus. He might be onto something.

It tasted like a flavored sparkling water. It's a flavor I always initially confuse with a diet flavor, but it's not. It's something all of it's own. Pomegranate flavored sparkling water. I bet my mom would love this stuff.

It's been a while since I've reviewed something by Hint. There is no reason. It's not like we went on an awkward date and then, when it was over, I shook her hand, thanked her for paying for both dinner and the movie, and then proceeded to ask her for bus fare. I just walked by them and didn't think twice. Look at my reviews. They're all pretty decent and that would warrant at least a thank you card.

Well, Hint, here is your thank you card. This drink is good and the flavors are pretty in your face. It really does taste like strawberry and kiwi. Having added no additional sugar or sweeteners, you have earned a gold star. Nothing beats a shiny, adhesive gold star. Ask and 3rd grader.

I wonder what the Mr. Brown got his doctorate in. Was it Sodaology? Can he be called a Popologist? Should I just keep making up words? All we know for sure is that he (or is the doctor a woman?) graduated from a university and got a PHD in something. He/she then went out and got famous by creating Cel-Ray Soda. Love it or hate it you have to admit that it tastes just like celery. Science at it's best! Since the famous doctor was able to pinpoint the exact flavor of celery and transfer it to a soda I had very high expectations of what this magic man could do for their other flavors. After a sip I'm beginning to think that the good doctor may have been a one trick pony. This is a pretty average root beer. It doesn't have any interesting ingredients, thus nothing really jumps out at you. I would put it in the same category as A&W or Mug . It's nothing special, but also nothing terrible. I must urge the doctor to hit the books again. You may have a PHD, but it's never time to stop learning. Especially when we all know you can do better with your root beer.

Well what do we have here? Everyone has had green tea and I think it's a safe bet to assume everyone has had Arizona green tea and honey. On to an annoying side story:

My dad's side of the family is orthodox Jewish and my mom was raised Protestant. My dad, although raised Jewish, was pretty apathetic about religion. One day, my mom and dad went to his sister's house for some reason and they brought pizza and pop. When my mom presented said pop to my aunt, she retorted with, "We don't drink that liquid sewage." In comparison, the beloved Arizona green tea is liquid sewage.

This had an incredible, natural green tea taste and the sugar was just right.

Arizona, you are a great company and you make millions of people happy. When you grow up, grow up right and buy a case of this sweetened green tea.

Ginger drinks can be an iffy game. Sometimes they are super strong with a crazy burn (okay I really like drinks like that), and sometimes they can be really weak. Having just a hint of ginger is something is pretty gross. It always tastes like you didn't properly rinse a cup before reusing it. Tazo found a pretty amazing middle ground. It has a strong ginger taste, but with only the slightest of burns. It's an "every man" ginger drink. The lemon also isn't overpowering. It's the kind of drink that makes you feel like it's great for you, but it still breaks some rules of physics by tasting good. I didn't realize Tazo made drinks other than tea, but I'm glad they do, because they are onto something here.

Dude one: "I really want to watch my weight, but I really want a Pepsi (just one Pepsi)."

Dude two: "Why don't you get a bottle of Diet Pepsi? It has zero calories."

Dude one: "No way, then everyone at the gym will know I'm watching my weight and make fun of me."

Dude two: "I heard about this new thing called Pepsi Max. It's just like Diet Pepsi, but it's in a discrete bottle without the dreaded word 'diet' on it."

Dude one: "Whoa! It even has a killer catch phrase on it: 'zero calories, maximum taste' "

Dude two: "Have fun with that, I can't stand the gross aspartame taste in it. I only know about it because I accidentally bought a bottle of it last week. I thought it was regular Pepsi and didn't notice it had zero calories until I got home. I drank it anyways because I didn't want to waste it."

I grew up in Tonawanda, NY, which is a suburb of Buffalo. Within Tonawanda, there was a section of it call Millstream. I had several friends who lived there and would hang out in that area a lot. One of my fondest memories about Millstream is when we started backyard wrestling under the name MWA, or Millstream Wrestling Association. I used to borrow my grandfather's video camera to tape all the matches. Good times!

This root beer would have been perfect for those summer days. We would have been really stoked on the name, and probably unofficially named it the official root beer of MWA. It has a perfect mixture of sweet and root beer taste to it. And then, there is a slight vanilla aftertaste that lingers on your lips. While this isn't the most complex tasting root beer, it really earns its "old time" name. This is a classic tasting root beer.

Ginger People are known for their intense ginger candy, so I had a feeling this was going to kick my ass (or stomach in this case). I'm really glad they didn't let me down. This ginger beer has a deep burn that settles really nicely in your stomach. It has a great ginger taste too, but it's not the most intense ginger beer so far. I've had a stuffed nose all week, and after a couple sips of this I was all cleared up. I swear that a good ginger beer is medicinal.

There is an entire world of low rent iced teas out there. Leave it to the Midwest to produce the blandest of the bland. Like the planes of America's Badlands, this tea feels like it's going nowhere. Unfortunately for World Classics, I don't thing Bruce Springsteen will write any songs about this tea. I guess there could be something he could write about rising above its mediocrity. I don't think it would get quite the same sing-a-longs in a live setting.

It's a bitter syrupy white tea. So bitter it feels like it's drying out your mouth. The tangerine flavor tastes nothing but artificial. For 30 cents what did I expect? Whoo Oh Oh Ohhh!

This is an orange cream soda that doesn't taste like a creamsicle. That is something that piques my interest. I like me some creamsicle pop, but for the most part if you've had one, you've had them all. This was a pleasant surprise. I'd describe this as 60% orange pop, 30% cream soda and 10% honey. I love Thomas Kemper for their use of honey in their sodas. It's always noticeable without being overbearing. I think there's a Winnie the Pooh joke in their somewhere. It gives them such an advantage over their competitors. I can't wait for them to expand their empire in an easternly direction.

Tiny, tiny juice. Also, probably the best fruit punch I've ever had. It's just juice, no sweetener, so it's not thick and syrupy as most fruit punches are. It has your standard apple and grape juices, but the bonus of pineapple and passionfruit as well. If only all fruit juice was like this I think kids would want to drink more juice. It tastes so much better than the generic stuff they are used to.

Tropical punch might trump fruit punch. Fruit punch is a mystery blend of fruits that I'm convinced no one knows except for the manufacturer. Tropical punch has pineapples and banana and mango and passion fruit and more. This drink even splurged on a stockpile of dragon fruit, which I give them all the credit in the world for.

This drink has a little bit of a diet taste to it but you can actually taste most of not all of the fruits. It is kind of fun to drink and try and pick out each of the flavors as they come along.

This is a good diet beverage and I will recommend it to anyone who wants to give it a shot.

When I first came across this flavor many years ago, I got really excited since XXX is commonly associated with straight edge. Sadly, the quirky writing on the side of the bottle makes no mention of refraining from drugs and alcohol. Instead, they decided to make a bad joke about the adult film industry. Despite this, this will always be the straight edge flavor of Vitamin Water.

Name aside, I love the taste of this. Like most Vitamin Water, it's the perfect amount of sweetness and full of flavor. The blueberry and pomegranate are the prominent flavors here, and they mesh together really well.

What year is this? 1995? Even if you're reading this in "the future", in my opinion, vending machine dollar slots should have improved over the years. Remember when you wanted a can of pop as a kid and you would put your wrinkly and potentially/probably wet dollar bill in the machine? You would get so mad when it would spit back out at you. Then when you grew up, you learned a couple tricks of the trade. Namely, that one trick where you flatten the bill by holding both sides and stretching it over the corner of the machine. Often, that would work.

Now, many years later, technology has soared to places we never could have imagined. I can take pictures with my phone and put them online in seconds. Cars drive with cruise control and auto adjust the speed based on the cars ahead of them. Someone invented a hoverboard that works. Why can't all bills work in the machines? My bill was creased, but fine. It wasn't taped or had bent corners or anything. Just creased. I actually didn't want this drink. I wanted a V8 Splash, which I paid for and the slot I paid for was empty so I paid for the ability to open a door.

I was wicked thirsty and this drink was actually refreshing. I didn't know that they made Brisk in juice format. I thought that it was only iced tea. This has a bit of that "Brisk sting" but it's tolerable. The strawberry is very prominent but you can tell that there is some undiscerning taste in there that you can just safely assume is melon.

Root beer like this reminds me why I love root beer. It's really smooth and rich, with hints of a lot of different flavors.

In the world of root beer, I've heard the term "head" a lot but have never experienced it much with bottles. This has "drought style head". Judging by my experience with this bottle, this must mean "lots of head". After putting this bottle down for a minute, the whole neck was filled with head. This wasn't necessarily a bad thing, just an observation.

Things that start with "Nu" followed by a noun are generally not good things. Prime example: NuMetal. It's possibly the worst form of music mankind has ever created. The late 90's were such a dark, dark time for popular music. Teen angst was at an all time high, in all the wrong ways. Ick.

NuGrape is a "Nu" product that is actually decent. It reminds me a lot of Nehi Grape Soda. It doesn't taste like a grape per say, but it doesn't taste completely chemical and harsh. Grape is a summer pop, and I would sip on this at a BBQ any day.
