Harvest Bay Coconut Water Pineapple
For decades of my life I was denied the joys of the pina colada. My hatred of coconut ran so deep, that I dare not even try this delicious mixture. Why no one ever told me that toasted coconut and coconut water taste vastly different I will never know, but those people owe me a whole lot of this stuff to make up for lost time.
If I have learned anything from movies and other media it's that this is the taste of paradise. It's what everyone is constantly drinking in tropical locations. I completely understand why. It's extremely refreshing and it tastes wonderful. On top of that, whenever I drink some it gives me a relaxing sensation. It's like I'm in a hammock in the shade of some trees on a beach just listening to the waves. What other drink gives you that experience?
This has a nice pineapple flavor that perfectly blends in with the coconut water. It's also sweetened by palm sugar, which I have never tried before to the best of my knowledge. Even the sweetener is tropical with this drink. I need a vacation.

Coconut Cartel It's Just a Coconut
These days a handful of coconut water companies are moving away from the classic “heavy” can and tetra pak cartons towards more innovative packaging. I understand; anything that can make your product jump out more to consumers is a plus. Coconut Cartel has taken things too far though. This is not coconut water. This is simply a coconut with the companies name stamped/burnt into the shell.
I feel like someone has played a prank on me. When we were in talks with the company I say the pictures of the coconuts with the company logo on them, but I thought they were just being clever. When a box with three coconuts in it, and nothing else, showed up at my door I just laughed. Sure the liquid in the coconut was great, but this has officially taken the title of the most inconvenient beverage of all time. There's no going to the fridge for a quick hydration. There's a process that goes into opening a coconut, and it's not pretty. I ended up using a drill to put holes in the shell, so I could pour it out. That was after many failed attempts with coconuts in my youth.
I really hope that this whole thing is some long term prank being played on me. I hope one of my friends created this website and then shipped me some coconuts, because the whole thing is laughable and I can't imagine this company being sustainable by any means.

Bai 5 Bubbles Waikiki Coconut
From the get go I wanted nothing to do with this beverage. My interest in coconut water is still relatively new and a carbonated version sounded absolutely terrible to me. Just as I feared this drink fell on the sunscreen side of the spectrum. It wasn't to the extent that it tasted like someone watered down their Coppertone and then introducing it to a Soda Stream, but it is close enough. If that wasn't a bad enough description for you, take into consideration that the all-natural, zero calorie sweetener is ridiculously strong, and nearly unbearable. Simply put, this is not for me.

Coco Joy Coconut Water Natural
Herbert loved to travel. He especially loved to sail. He was on a trip to Thailand and was sailing around when his boat hit some coral and took on some water. He docked at the closest island to investigate what could be the problem.
He tied up his boat and started to look around at the damage. A tall man approached him with a package and said, "This is for you." Herbert looked inside and there was some rice, vegetables and a can of coconut water. He sat down on the dock and ate and it was very good. He especially liked the coconut water. It was different than the coconut water he had in the States. It was sweeter but still unsweetened. It was clean tasting and didn't care about the heat like some other coconut waters he had.
He repaired the ship and was about to sail off and the tall man came back. Herbert thanked him and asked where he got that drink from. He said that his brother works for the factory a couple miles away and he gets to bring home cases occasionally. Herbert shook the man's hand and thanked him for his hospitality. Boat accident and all, Herbert had a wonderful time in the sun on an island making new friends, eating great food and enjoying a new drink he was sure to buy more of.

Harvest Bay Coconut Water Dark Chocolate
I believe there is a point in every person who has somewhat working taste buds when milk chocolate loses its allure. Something about it isn't as magical as when you were younger. You don't exactly know what it is that has changed, but something is different and you are none too pleased. Then after decades of thinking it was gross and inferior you find yourself eating some dark chocolate and your love affair begins anew. You realize that this bitter, semi-sweet snack is what chocolate was meant to taste like and anything else is just a perversion of perfection. Christ, that sounds like some garbage white power rant there, but I assure you people and chocolate are two very different things.
After this metamorphosis in life whenever you see the words dark chocolate on a product and excitement builds. The thing is that the process of making dark chocolate into a liquid fit for drinking isn't quite the same as a version whose main ingredient is milk. It's very easy to lose the certain pizzazz that gives dark chocolate its allure, and I'm afraid Harvest Bay didn't quite capture it. There is still enjoyment to be had with this beverage, but it falls in a grey area where it doesn't quite taste like coconut water nor does it full taste like a chocolate drink. It's floating in an in-between realm where chocolate has a slightly fruity taste to it. I've been here before and I can tell you it's not where I want to be. For me it's either go heavy on the chocolate, or leave it out altogether.

Harvest Bay Coconut Water Iced Coffee
Recent studies suggest that coconuts kill five times more people than sharks. In an effort to curb these nauseating results, Harvest Bay went back to the drawing board and decided that they would mix their coconut water with iced coffee so that you can be faster and have more pep in your step so that you can avoid those pesky falling coconuts. Sure, they had to do a lot of testing and kill a lot of test subjects but they were murdering thieves so, you know, who cares? They would give them regular coconut water and throw coconuts at them. Then they would give them coconut water with iced coffee and they were faster for longer to help them avoid those dreaded coconuts.
The felons that lived described the coconut water with iced coffee in it as "Still pretty coconutty" and "lightly coffee'd." Criminals love to make up their own words. It wasn't sweetened but still had a pretty genuine coffee and coconut taste. The coconut was stronger than the coffee but nonetheless, a pretty decent drink.
Thanks to the criminals that will earn a gold star and an extra day out of "The Hole" before they have to go to "The Chair." Everyone wins.

Pearl Royal Coconut Water Lemon Lime
In a world where flavored beverages are overly heavy on the flavor, to an extent that the taste of the base is lost, it's nice when a company takes it easy on the old flavor tasters. Pearl Royal does just that with this delicious coconut water. There is but a hint of lemon and lime flavor. I wouldn't be surprised if they stumbled upon this when someone didn't properly rinse a glass that has been used to house some sort of lemon lime beverage and then refilled it with coconut water. It's such a minor addition of flavor, but it goes a long way in making your refreshment experience just a tad different. Oh yeah it also comes in this awesome container, so that's a bonus.

Purity Organic Coconut Water Original
I'm not a betting man but if you asked me ten years ago if you should invest in coconut futures, future Mike would say that you should. Previously only known as a topping for ice cream and a filling for Mounds and Almond Joy, now it's everywhere. Everywhere includes the homebase of one of our favorite juice companies, Purity.
Problem with all these coconut waters is that the point of it is to just have 100% pure, clean, unaltered coconut water. What does that do to the drinks? It makes them all the same. Coconut water is turning into orange juice and apple juice where it all tastes the same. What does this taste like? Oh, it tastes like if you cracked open a coconut with a machete and dumped it in a cup. Well what does that one taste like? It tastes like if you broke open a coconut on a rock and poured it into a cup. How about that one over there? It tastes like you put a nail into it, pulled the nail out and put in a straw and a little umbrella.
This is good. It's clean and crisp. It's clearly naturally sweetened and there is nothing in there you would second-guess giving to your kids, although I don't know any kids that would rather drink coconut water than, say, chocolate milk. That is a crowd pleaser. Coconut water? It's fine. Just fine. This? It's fine.

Purity Organic Superjuice Kale Coconut Water Apple Spinach
I anticipated a nightmare. I thought I would find myself in a pleasant juice dream that would lull me into complacency, and just when I least expected it things would turn to terror as the banana in this juice took hold. The strange thing is that it never did. I've found myself in the endless joy that is a dream that is even better than I ever could ever have expected. This tastes like an apple-lemon juice that has a bit of ginger spicing it up. I was shocked at the level of spice in here, not in a “oh man it burns” way, but in an Autumnal dessert sort of way. There are some other flavors floating around, but none of them really stand out, they just provide nourishment and subtle flavor. I had really expected this to taste like greens and coconut water that had been slightly sweetened by the apple juice, but things went the opposite way.
Purity Organic has done the unthinkable and added banana and celery to a juice, and have those flavors be indistinguishable. Seriously, banana puree is the second ingredient and I can't taste even a hint of the only terrible fruit in existence. Face your fears people and you may just be rewarded with some of the best juice you've ever tasted.

Go Body Hydrating Protein Drink Berry Pomegranate
Hey Jason, remember when you started Thirsty Dudes and you were kind of a lazy slob? Your diet mainly consisted of veggie dogs/sausage wrapped in tortilla shells and you are stale Oreos constantly. Seriosuly dude, remember the ridiculous amounts of Twizzlers you would consume, and the dumb amounts of pop you drank? I know you were younger and had a better metabolism, but seriously what were you thinking? Oh yeah and remember when companies would send you protein drinks and you would just drink them whenever?
Four years isn't really a long time in the grand scheme of things, but a lot has gone on in that time. Look at how much your diet has improved. You've lost weight and you feel a lot better, don't you? On top of all of that you get excited when protein drinks show up, because you now use them for their intended purpose; drinking after a workout. That's right man, you of all people started going to the gym, and you stuck with it. I never thought you would.
Oh look, there's a package of protein drinks waiting in the mail for you. Oh wow, they aren't chocolate or vanilla flavored. It's nice to have variety. Cool, this has coconut water in it as well as protein to help you rehydrate after a workout. On top of that it actually tastes like a mixture of berries and pomegranate. It tastes like a decent juice that is a little thicker (without being chalky) due to the protein. Sure it tastes a tad diet because of the erythritol, but it's not too noticeable. Overall go Body did a great job with this. You wouldn't have felt weird drinking this four years ago, just sitting around your apartment reading. Oh wait you're actually going to read now after your work out, you never change do you? Seriously though, you seem to be doing pretty well for yourself, now if you can just stop writing yourself letters in the form of drink reviews the world will be a better place.

Pearl Royal Coconut Water
Coconut waters have become the new apple/orange juice; for the most part they don't vary too much from brand to brand. I mean when you're sole ingredient is water straight from a coconut there isn't going to be much variation is there? Sure the companies could add flavoring to them, but if you ask me that isn't necessary, when you have something that is great and completely refreshing, why much it up with additives?
Pearl Royal knows the game. So instead of altering their product itself they gave it interesting/fun packaging. Inside this packaging that is made to look like a coconut of some sort is an ordinary can of coconut water. Attached to that can is a little string that comes out of the top of the “coconut.” When you pull the string it opens the can. You then stick the attached straw through the hole and enjoy the nectar within. If only opening a real coconut was that easy. There are plenty of videos online of people attempting, and failing, to open the real thing. I've certainly been vexed in my attempts in the past as well.
Overall this is a nice branding technique for a beverage that is nothing new, but also very tasty. Here's your future.

Zola Coconut Water
Shane, let's take a trip. You and I have been working hard and deserve a trip. Why do we work and save if we can't enjoy our savings? What inspired this? I drank some of this coconut water and now I've got a taste for the tropics. I want the sun. I want the sand. I want it all. I know it's not going to be a cheap trip but what's the fun of saving all that money and never spending it. I know you like to be cautious but there comes a time where you have to give in a little bit. Here, try some of this see if you can see where I'm coming from.
Can't you just taste the sunshine? It's great. Look. It's coconut water but that's all it is and I'm giving credit where credit's due. No preservatives. No sugar. No...I don't know…β¬Β¦enriched vitamins and minerals? I bet if I plucked a coconut off a tree and put it in the fridge and came back later, cracked it open and drank it, this is what it would taste like. It's a good coconut flavor with no bells and whistles.
What do you say? Should we book the trip? I think we should. No, not Florida, something sandier. More palm trees. Hawaii. Yeah. That's right. Let's go to all the scenes from Andy Sidaris movies.

Rising Sun Thai Coconut Water with Pulp
Sometimes you just have those days where you just need to get out of the city. You feel like you've been indoors too much, and even when you're not it just doesn't feel like the outdoors. You get antsy and start to go insane, and you need to be in the green. Actually, maybe that doesn't happen to normal people, but I most definitely am not normal and yesterday I was just losing my mind. As a result I jumped in my car with some good music and just drove an hour out into the forest. There was no sign of civilization around me for miles. I breathed in deep and took it all in. it was exactly what I needed to even myself out. I ended up hiking for about ten miles and it was glorious, I even saw a bald eagle. Stupidly I only brought one bottle of water, a Cliff Bar and an apple. By the time I was done I was exhausted and dehydrated. There was only one beverage that would give me the refreshment that I so desperately craved and that was a can of coconut water.
This is pretty standard pure coconut water. There is nothing in it but the water and some pulp. By some pulp I mean a lot pulp. More than there probably needed to be, but I can't see anyone buys coconut water with pulp unless they loved the stuff, so in that case it's probably just perfect. The can did just what I needed it to do, and it did so with a pleasant taste. Man, for someone who has such an intense hatred for toasted coconut, I sure have come to enjoy these drinks.

Rising Sun Thai Coconut Water
Coconut water; I don't know what I like and I'm not sure what I don't like about you. I think the stuff I like might have some sugar in it. This is a little sweet but you can tell that it's "naturally" sweet and not sweetened with anything. No, I am not just reading the ingredients. I am tasting it and making an evaluation. You think I base everything off the ingredients? Sometimes I don't even read them. I just go by the seat of my pants and hope for the best.
Coconut water. This is naturally sweetened but it's also, I feel, very strong. If you are on the fence about coconut water, this might not be the place to start. There are weaker coconut waters out there which I needn't name. If you love coconut, which a lot of you do, this is going to be a fantastic treat for you. I suppose I just need to put everyone in buckets. Call me a racist, but if categorizing people by the way they like their coconut, then I'm a regular David Duke.

BodyArmor Super Drink Strawberry Banana
I'll tell you something and you're not going to like it, Carlos. I don't like bananas. I know you're crazy about them joints but me, man, I don't like them. You just handed me this drink and I don't know man, I don't think I can handle it. I'm not allergic or anything but I just don't like them. You don't have anything else to drink? Man. You know what, dude? I'll do it.
Carlos, I might owe you an apology. Maybe you know me better than I thought. Maybe you know me better than I know myself because this drink isn't bad and even though there is a hint of banana, I'm not about to spike it in your living room like you would a controller when I whoop you in Halo. This is mostly strawberry, which everyone loves and you can't taste the coconut too much and this has been sitting there for a while. That's when coconut blows is when it's warm. The banana, yeah, it's in there but I'm not eating a banana and this is accompanied by better, stronger fruits.
Dude, alright. That grief I gave you earlier, you didn't deserve it. I had a bad day. I ate a bad breakfast burrito and it disagreed with me. I'm alright now, man. Sorry. Now grab that controller. I'm'a whoop you!

Purity Organic Chocolate Coconut Water
As an adult do you ever find yourself craving chocolate milk, but you feel that it is a beverage made for children and someone in your life told you it was time to leave childish things behind? First off, if that is true someone told you a horrible lie and wants you to lead a miserable existence. Nearly all things that are fun are childish, and life without fun is just pain and now we're getting into philosophy and I'm not prepared for that. Regardless, this beverage is for you. There is nothing seemingly childish about coconut water, but the fun is hidden in there.
This is like someone dumped Nesquik into coconut water, but instead of the cheap chocolate powder we're all used to it was finely ground semi-fancy milk chocolate. It's ridiculous how much it tastes like real chocolate and not some powder garbage. This is indeed “chocolate milk” for adults. Also, on top of tasting delicious it also is extremely refreshing, unlike its childish counterpart. So yeah, put that specific childish thing behind you all accept this as your new chocolate beverage of choice.

Cascade Ice Coconut
We've come a long way, coconut. From the days of only eating them by way of Mounds candy bars through the coconut shavings on ice cream and now coconut flour and coconut cream pie; Quite a versatile man. Now sure, in liquid form you're better cold but this drink was room temperature and it was pretty great.
It was a little sweet but don't let the "0 Calories" tag discourage you because this is fantastic and doesn't taste diet at all. It also does not taste like coconut water or a coconut milk. It's more a water with coconut flavoring than a coconut base. It tastes like a liquid, fizzy version of a candied coconut. This makes me want to buy a giant bag of dried, candied coconut and just house the whole thing. No sharing. No way. No how. All mine. I'll eat coconut and drink this sparkling coconut water and no one bother me.

Vita Coco Cafe Mocha
This feels like some sort of riddle; what do you get when you mix mediocre coconut water with espresso? A mixture I could take or leave that also has milk in it for some reason. Really though, why is the milk here? Isn't the coconut water supposed to act as the milk like substance? It's as if they combined espresso, chocolate and milk to create a normal mocha drink, and then watered it down with coconut water. It's like the coconut water was more of an afterthought rather than an integral part of the creating process.
For those of you out there, like me, who are not huge coffee fans, this has a bearable coffee flavoring. Unfortunately the chocolate isn't as strong as I would like it to be. Coco Cafè came out with a similar product a while ago and they achieved what this was reaching for and missed.

Coco Libre Pure Organic Coconut Water With Pineapple
I just don't know what happened here. There are only two ingredients that make up this beverage and one of them is Coco Libre's original coconut water, which is delicious. The other is simply organic pineapple juice from concentrate. Now I just can't see how pineapple juice could be bad. I've drunk it in all its forms and consistencies and I have been a fan of each and every one of them. For some reason though, when they were combined something went awry.
Now the pina colada is a well known drink that people all over the place love. I myself have been known to be a fan. If it weren't for this knowledge that I possess I would assume that the problem with this drink was that pineapples and coconuts were simply not meant to mix. Science has proved that an inaccurate statement, so what went wrong?
The pineapple doesn't really taste like pineapple in here. It has a sweet, fruity flavor, but it's not quite pineapple. Also, the coconut has a weird oats and grains type aftertaste that I would assume has something to do with the shell. Overall it wasn't enjoyable, nor refreshing. It just tasted like something was starting to spoil in the drink, even though it was well in the expiration time frame. Something is afoot in the world of paradise drinks.

Cocofina 100% Coconut Water
Before the world of automation I feel like working for a coconut water would be pretty great. You'd get to wander through nature looking for coconuts to chop down from trees, and just spend your days outdoors. Yes I know that they are probably grown on farms, but I'd like to pretend that you had to meander through the jungle with a cart collecting the bounty for companies such as Cocofina. Later in the day you'd have to bust your butt cracking open all of those coconuts to get the sweet, sweet nectar inside, and that would be no fun. I mean have you ever tried to open a coconut? It's nearly impossible with a hammer and a screwdriver (yes I'm well aware that I'm an idiot).
The coconuts in this little “juice box” have been imported from Thailand. I wonder if they ship the whole coconuts, or just vats of the “milk.” It's gotta be just the “milk,” right? I mean think of the cost of shipping coconuts whole. I also wonder if the impending civil war in Thailand is going to affect the coconut water game.
As I said this comes in a “juice box,” which is a little strange. I didn't think it would be enough liquid in the container, but by the time I was completely satisfied. Its contents are very smooth, and they taste like high quality coconut water. It's a win here folks.
