Mike loves new drinks. He's drank some gross stuff in his day, and this blog is making him drink even more against his will. That being said, he wouldn't trade it in for the world. He loves new beverages and is always, and always will be, on a quest for something new.
Purity Organic Strawberry Paradise
You know that kid in school that seemingly was good at everything? Man, who wasn't annoyed by that kid? They could do, literally, everything. They were awesome at sports, got great grades, had a killer jaw line for a 4th grader, and had a way with teachers and ladies alike. Worst part is that they were awesome kids and you couldn't be mad at them because they were so nice. They just had everything going for them. Well imagine if that kid put his skills to good use and started a juice company. Yeah, that's the epitome of smarts in this scenario. That juice company would be called Purity Organics. Why? Because this company seems to have the Midas touch when it comes to drinks. They're all good, all of them.
Now, here at work, I work hard. At home, I play hard. I cover all bases. Something that doesn't work so hard here at the shop is the refrigerator because that joint is broke. Everything smells and I don't even know if anything is perishable in there. It looks like a college kid's fridge because there is nothing but drinks and condiments. No actual food. My drink was lukewarm and it still was good. Obviously it would be better iced, but what do I look like? A fridgeman? A man that fixes fridges? No, sir/ma'am.
This drink tastes like a strawberry lemonade. Kind of like the Made strawberry lemonade if you've had that. It's got a great lemon kick and leaves you with a nice natural strawberry taste. Nothing about this drink is bad unlike our work fridge where somehow even the mustard has gone bad.

Cici Jelly Juice Lychee
You know how you have a grandma? I love my gramma. She makes the best cookies. It's a shame they had to juice her to make this drink. As you know, I am foolin' 'round here. Lychee is a strange fruit to me. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I loathe it. It's a fruity, nutty flavor that is very strong. Combined with the nata de coco and the fact that this juice is in a pouch, it had to be done.
It is actually one of the better lychee drinks I've had and if you like lychee, you should try it. There are about 1,000,000 chunks per sip (cps) so if you aren't a fan or you don't think you can look past them, perhaps the Maaza lychee juice is more your speed. Think of this drink as a poorly pureed, homemade lychee juice.
Honestly, for $0.60, you can't really lose, and there are more that I will probably try in the upcoming months. As if it needs to be said, I got this at an Asian market.

Ikea Dryck Lingon Lingonberry
Wait a second. You mean to tell me that burglars came in and stole your bed, desk, lamps, shelves, entertainment cabinet and left you electronics and cash? That's strange and a heck of a waste of their time and efforts. If anything, it's a blessing in disguise, since all your furnishings were garbage. Dude, seriously. That bed was a hand me down from your grandma and that's gross at best. You should have paid that burglar a movers wage and bought him and his numbskull team a pizza. So what now? You've got a day off, $1000 in cash, and you're handy with an allen key? Wicked, get in the Escort. I know, I know. I am working of getting a new car. I've got a lead on a great 1992 Ford Probe. Yes, it does have a different color passenger rear view mirror. We're going to Ikea. It will be an adventure of Swedish proportions!
Alright, grab that strange, unpronounceable bookshelf, bed frame, desk, and end table. Sweet. What did that run you? Only $950? Cool. Hey, I'm hungry. Let's go get some of those baby meatballs and...oh...what's this? An adorable lil' lingonberry juice box? Count me in. Dude, did you try this? It's like a watered down cranberry juice but it doesn't suck. It's not cheeky like cranberry juice and I can chug this, watch. Ohh, dude. It's everywhere. I shouldn't have thought that I could blindly aim that little straw. Good thing I'm driving because I am quite sticky.

Snapple All Natural Raspberry
I know, I know. First we list 600+ reviews with no Snapple and then we've got three in a week. Well here's what happens...when you find something that used to be alright and then you discover that they changed their whole ingredient list and started doing things differently, they deserve another shot. I mean, they were early in the game of bottled tea and then once other cats got in the game, they were pushed aside. Now that they've stepped it up, and I mean really stepped it up, there's no stopping them.
This raspberry tea might be the best I've ever had. That says a lot. I've had tons of raspberry teas and this one tastes better. It's incredible what real sugar allows flavors to do. Artificial flavoring and sweetening disguises and distorts the real flavor of items. This is not bitter at all, even though there is green tea in it, but you can really taste the sweet, natural raspberry flavors come across like if you made it yourself.
This is saying a lot. If you wrote them off in the past, put your grudge aside and get a bottle of this.

Peace Tea Sweet Lemon
After my first impression with the Peace Tea Imported Ceylon Tea, I had kind of a sour taste in my mouth. It's not that it was bad, it just seemed...budget? I don't mean the entire company as a whole as I cannot comment just after drinking one other drink, but this tea left a lot to be desired.
Yes, it did taste like sweet lemon tea but it just tasted like the lemon flavored tea mix that you would buy literally anywhere. It's not a cost breakdown of "Oh, I can go to the store and buy a canister of mix and make 25 cans of this for the same price of 3 cans." either, because everyone knows you're not going to go to the store when you're thirsty, buy mix, buy water, buy a wooden spoon, and start doing science experiments in the back seat as your friend drives you to the mall to buy a new pair of Sketchers for some God knows reason.
Do you want sweet lemon tea in a hurry? Buy this drink. It's spot on. Do you want a seemingly endless supply of sweet lemon tea at work or at home? Buy a canister of the mix. You won't be able to tell the difference.

Snapple All Natural Mint
Snapple is a classic. They used to be everywhere and then Arizona came out and, in my opinion, left Snapple in the dust. Maybe that's just for me, but aside from juice, that's all I remember Snapple contributing to my life. Mind you, this is back in like 1997 or so.
So all of a sudden, Snapple comes to their senses, drops artificial flavors and sugars and goes all natural. You can tell in this because it's very clean. Some people thought that it was a bit too toothpaste-like but I disagree. It actually smelled like mint more than it tasted like mint and I was fine with that.
I got this from a bodega across the street and there is more to get. Snapple is back in the running and I finally welcome them to Thirsty Dudes.

Vernor's Ginger Ale
If you don't live in the North East United States, you may have never heard of Vernor's. It's a ginger pop that's kind of in between a ginger ale and a ginger beer. It is barrel aged and you can taste it. It's not as woody as the Sprecher ginger ale I had last week but it might be because this drink doesn't have real sugar so some of their ingredients could be masked or distorted.
I remember this being different. I remember it being a bit harsher and woody/earthy tasting. I think it might be because while doing Thirsty Dudes, my taste buds have gone through a series of ringers. This drink just doesn't have the same flair that it used to. It kind of lives in ginger purgatory. I would like to taste a remix of this with real sugar so that I can taste the wood, ginger, and flavors.
I can't crap on this drink because it's indigenous to where I live. My people grew up on this as it is and it never changed and won't change. It's not bad and if you haven't had it, take a trip to the North East and get some. It's different.

Kutztown Sarsaparilla
Kutztown. This. Is. Awesome. I don't know why I mentally wrote you off. Did I do something in the past that made me think you weren't good? If so, I'm sorry because this sarsaparilla is top notch. Top notch. It's got such an earthy, rich flavor. I stupidly/politely gave everyone else a nice 6oz. each of this because it in it's entirety was a whopping 24oz. Leaving me with only 6oz to do this review. Had I known in advance how good this was ahead of time, it would have been Sipsville for those jerks I work with and Kutztown for me. I feel like I can taste everything in this from the classic root beer root flavors to whatever the heck makes sarsaparilla. It tastes homegrown and handmade, like there is some feeling to it.
Seriously, this is awesome. This is a "Oh, I'm in Pennsylvania? I've got to search and find and buy some Kutztown sarsaparilla." Every sip is as good as the last. It doesn't get old. I wish that I could keep this on ice and enjoy it until my teeth fall out. Mmmm, that's a bit too much. I like my teeth. I'll just say that I like this stuff, a lot.

Honest Tea Honey Green Tea
Honest is a good consistent brand. Everything that they have tastes good and you are never knocked out with something unexpected. That's why I can put my hand in any cooler with Honest, move my hand around all willy-nilly, and come out with something I'd be pleased with. I don't know where and when and why I would ever do this, as I like the ability to have choice in my world.
There is a good green tea taste at the end and in the beginning there is a good 50/50 fight between green tea and honey. It is a very good, true mix. I am actually surprised that you haven't had it. Have you had it? Why are you reading this if you've had it? It's like reading a book after you've seen the movie. Everyone knows that the movie is always better than the book. Movies are made first and then books are just the transcribed versions of that. People that say, "Oh the book is better than the movie." are wrong and probably can't read. I can't wait for them to make a Thirsty Dudes movie. I want to play that strawberry blonde Adonis, Jay.

Pacific Simply Tea Kiwi Mango
I have been...iffy? No, not iffy, I might be as apologetic as to say disappointed with a lot of the Pacific drinks. It's not their fault as their drinks are, if anything, the most consistent drinks I've ever had. Everything is very close to one another and if you're not a fan of one, you might want to write the rest of them off.
BUT WAIT!
Don't do that. This Kiwi Mango tea is the best one I've had so far. I think that their spot on with green tea with the strong presence of mango. It is a very good flavor. I was a large fan of this drink and I am actually disappointed that it's down to the one sip that is left. This is a tea that I could get behind buying on several occasions. It's a good stand by drink. It's a recommendable drink. Pacific should be proud of this one. They did good work.

AGA Juice Mango
You know when your watching the Food Network and they make everything look easy? For instance, you know how they cut mangoes? They cut them in half, do some fancy pants knife work, turn the mango inside out and there you have it. A gorgeous, squared mango ready to do whatever you want. So, do that. I'll wait...
Now that your mango looks a fraction as awesome as Ellie Kreuger's, you're ready to go. Now smoosh up your carefully carved mango through a strainer. Do it one more time to get most of the chunks and pulp out and you've got this drink.
It's not bad at all and anyone who likes mangoes a little bit should enjoy this drink and although it's technically nectar, there isn't a lot of pulp and/or seeds. Some people, including myself, enjoy a lot of pulp, but you have to take a break every once in a while.
I picked this up at a local Halal market. This place was nothing to write home about and the service staff didn't say a single word the entire time Jay and myself were in there. This was good though and it comes with a stamp of approval from me.

Ramune Kiwi
Well well well. What do we have here? Is it a good kiwi pop? You betcha. I was surprised. I like the flavor of kiwi, but as a fruit, it's not my favorite. I don't like how soft it is. I want it to be firmer. I can't have everything I want, but I can have an opinion on things. This was very sweet, but who cares. Like I said, I feel that a good kiwi drink is few and far between. This is pure kiwi, too, so your argument of "This company makes a kiwi strawberry drink that is to die for!" is not only lame and melodramatic, it's also now what I'm talking about as it's a mix.
Grab a bottle, have a little kid open it because I think that they would get more enjoyment out of it than you, and drink it. It's good. Really. Also, I just discovered they make an octopus Ramune so now I've got to put that on my list.

Wegmans Fruit Tea Lemon Green
I thought we reviewed this but we didn't. That pleased me because Jay and I often feel that we can't drink things for pleasure anymore. Everything has to be reviewed and the time spent drinking old drinks is time that we can spend reviewing new stuff.
Enough of our sensitive, manly feelings. This is exactly what I wanted it to be. It's a little sweet and a little bitter and a little...lemony. It is a very honest drink that doesn't have anything to hide.

Foco Pomegranate Juice Drink
This is simple, but a little too simple. I love nothing more than putting latex gloves on and just manhandling a pomegranate. Why latex gloves? Have you ever touched a pomegranate? Your hands look like you've been eating rust with your hands for years and it doesn't come off for days. So, latex gloves give you the best hands on approach. Just rip out the hundreds of seeds out, put them in some sort of receptacle, and prepare for a delicious treat in 20 to 30 minutes.
This drink takes all the fun and most of the bitterness out of pomegranate process and cans it. It's fun for some, delicious for most, and not enough for some. I would like a more mature, bitter, natural taste if I were me, which I am on all occasions. Also, I might have liked a little pulp in here, but I love a pulpy drink. It's sweet, but not too sweet and actually pretty easy to drink. Only thing is that without the bitterness, this tastes like some sort of common grape/pomegranate conglomerate. I would recommend this, but with the previous statement.

Yogu Time Melon
Did I think this was going to be gross? You bet'cha. Was it? Not entirely. I thought it was going to taste like the White Cow Dairy drinks I had a few months back. Lucky for me it didn't. It did taste like melon, but it didn't taste like a natural melon by any means. It tastes like if Bubblicious made a melon gum. The yogurt makes it smooth, but the immense amount of sugar sharpens it back up.
It starts out pretty good, punches you in the mouth, and then leaves you out to dry, which is actually a nice, calm, melon-y taste. These little bottles are only 10oz but it's way too much for me. I shared a good third of it with some one, let everyone have some and I've got about a third left and I don't know if I can/will/want to do it.
Even still, it's not terrible and I might be apt to buy another one. I know they have different flavors out there. I bet the strawberry would be awesome.

Pannela Lemon Fun
This was my first go at Pannela and I've got to say, it's good. I thought it was a tea. It's dark in color and has a very light taste, kind of like a weak to medium black tea. I don't know how this was possible since pannela is just organic raw-unrefined cane juice. In itself, I bet it would be good, but blended with lemon and fun, this tastes like a lemon heavy half and half. Also, for being primarily sugar based, it's surprisingly low in calories; 140 for the entire 16oz container. That's the same as a can of pop but it's not as sweet.
If you can find it, get it. They have other flavors out there, but we have only been able to get our hands on a few. If you've had this one before, let us know what you thought of it.

PRE Probiotic Enhancer Acai Acerola
It took me about 95% of this bottle to come up with an opinion. That's not really good or bad, it's just kind of like when you meet someone and talk to them all night only to get in the car and completely forget who they were or what they talked about. Happens to me every time I meet my girlfriend's friends. It's not their fault, it's probably mine, but I can't help it.
This drink was better than expected. Anything with acai in it usually starts off on the wrong foot with me. Whatever acerola is does a good job of disguising it. For that, I thank you. It's a pretty common, fruity taste. Kind of like a cherry juice. With the added benefits of having cultures and probiotics in it, this drink may have helped me get over my sickness.

Made Strawberry Lemonade
Not what I was expecting but not something that my palate didn't like. Unlike the other Made drinks, this was a bit more indistinguishable. As one might guess if you're not some stupid idiot, strawberry is the star player, or as designers like to say but no one actually likes, the hero. The lemonade goes a bit unnoticed. It is in there but more of a miscellaneous, anonymous bitterness. There is no real taste of any lemon but the mix is still good, regardless.
This is my friend Dan's favorite Made drink, so for old Dan try a bottle. You won't be disappointed. Scouts honor. Does that matter if you were never in the scouts? Probably doesn't hold as much weight. Whatever, any member of the Thirsty Dudes could beat up a boy scout.

Nestle Milo
Many of the frequent Thirsty Dudes and Thirsty Dames have recommended Milo to me. I looked and looked and looked but couldn't find it anywhere. People were willing to ship it to me from the outer reaches of the earth, and for that I thank them. Lucky for me, Jay found it at an Asian market that we actually frequent, frequently. So here we are today, judgment day. Judgment day for Milo.
It was pretty good. It wasn't as thick as I thought it would be. It was not like chocolate milk but more like a thinner soymilk. I couldn't taste any nutrients or minerals. I can't really feel the energy surging...coursing? Yeah, coursing. I can't feel the energy coursing through my body but who cares? It's pretty good and the masses love it.
So, enjoy thirsty guys and gals. It's good. You were right.

Sprecher Ginger Ale
I can't really go more in depth than just saying, "I don't like it". It's got very earthy taste. It's like a woody ginger ale but not like a Vernor's. They say that there is a hint of oak, and I will give that to them. Between the wooden taste and the fire brew, I can't help but make a bad face during every sip. I wanted to like it. I like that this company clearly carefully crafted (4 C's in a row) this ginger ale but to me, it's not terribly refreshing. Small sip to big sip, it's all the same. Bold, overpowering, and not my cup of tea...or ginger ale.
